“Goethe otherwise is an exceptional creation of the artist inspired by a sculpture installed in the garden of Goethe’s summer house in Weimar (Germany) in homage to Agatha Tyche, divinity of destiny, prosperity or fortune. For Vera Molnar, this sculpture dating from the late 17th century is one of the first visible gestures of modernity, bringing together a cube topped by a sphere. The creation imagined by the artist is composed of these 2 elements in white marble, previously truncated and freely assembled by the taker. This homage to Goethe is above all a pretext for a new game of forms between balance and disorder… The sculpture is accompanied by a piece of music specially written for the occasion by the composer Melaine d’Alibert.”
