“This drawing uses the Frog figure from a set of hand-digitized representational images. The full set consists of: Goose, Frog, Fat Cat and Elephant. I often used these interchangeable figures in my early works. Frog Pond is an original work from around 1975. It is a very simple algorithm. A predetermined number of digitized frog figures are distributed about a center point using a random angle (0 – 359 degrees) and radius (a random polar coordinate). Then, at that location the frog image is rotated at a random angle (0 – 359 degrees). Unique to this piece I used a plotter alphabet I designed, called Kolobet, to title the drawing.”
