“A regular tessellation of overlapping “tiles.” The tiles alternate. The form of the tiles are two variations of a circle. Each circle is comprised of vertical or horizontal line segments which are clipped by the outline of a circle. The line segment spacing, or intervals, are determined by a trigonometric function. This piece was originally called “spots” but over time has come to be known by a more descriptive name that reflects the gestalt interaction of the spots. A visual whole that has become more than the sum of its parts. Indeed a woven memory for me.”
