From a series of works entitled DRAKULA. The name refers to the computer program that generated the images; ‘DRAchenKUrven, überLAgert’ translated into English is ‘Dragon curves, superimposed’. The program was written by computer scientist Josef Vordermaier in collaboration with Franke. Dragon curves are a type of mathematical fractal, whose formula Franke used to structure his graphics.
